FMCSA issues new rules to prevent truck accidents

Distracted driving has become increasingly common in Massachusetts and is one of the most common causes of car accidents in the U.S. Cellphone use is one the main reasons drivers become distracted and to address the safety issues of using a cellphone while driving, automakers and cellphone companies turned to hands-free devices and voice-activated technology.

Study: many designated drivers still drink alcohol

Many people think that having a designated driver take them home will keep everyone safe on the road in Massachusetts. While designated drivers are supposed to be able to safely drive everyone home, a new study found that these drivers are not as reliable as previously believed.

Massachusetts police cracking down on texting drivers

Distracted driving is a well-known dangerous behavior, yet many drivers in Massachusetts still admit to texting behind the wheel. A recent survey by Plymouth Rock Assurance found that 40 percent of drivers in the state said they send text messages while driving.
